Rainy Day in Fullerton
When the rain finally comes, Fullerton's streets shine, and your brakes, tires and wipers get their biggest test of the year.
After the storm
Wet streets, sunset skies and our shop on Commonwealth
A rainy-evening look at our corner of Fullerton: the shop after a storm, a few cars on wet pavement, and the streets our customers drive every day.

Before the next storm
A quick wet-weather check
Southern California's first rain after a dry spell lifts oil off the road, and it's often the slickest drive of the year. Four things to look at before it comes:
Tires
Check tread depth and pressure. Worn tread can't push water out of the way, and that's when hydroplaning starts.
Brakes
Wet roads need more stopping distance. A soft pedal, squealing or pulling to one side is worth a look: brake repair.
Wipers & glass
Replace blades that streak or chatter, and keep the glass clean inside and out so oncoming lights don't glare.
Lights & defrost
Make sure headlights, brake lights and signals all work, and that the defroster clears fog fast: electrical and A/C & heating.
If your car hydroplanes: ease off the gas, keep the wheel straight and don't slam the brakes until the tires grip again.

Get your car rain-ready.
